About us
Philosophy
Mahayogi Siddhababa Spiritual Academy, Canada, previously known as Pashupat Siddha Mahayoga Meditation Centre, Ottawa has been a registered not-for-profit corporation with Industry Canada since 2015.
Since it’s inception, we have been providing seekers with an authentic entry into meditation based on the yogic tradition and with the guidance of a bonafide spiritual Guru. We provide cultural services to the community, organize knowledge sharing talk programs and give training and meditation classes. Our intention is to provide a supportive foundation so you can harness meditation to become your best self. We hope the teaching of Himalayan Mahayog will contribute to creating conscious societies who walk together on the path of universal love.
Jagatguru Mahayogi Siddhababa’s teaching are shared by our not-for-profit organization to guide individuals to achieve higher consciousness and help invoke self-driven happiness and peace. We provide high quality teaching and guidance so you can develop your practice with ease, intention, and spirit. Keeping the wisdom of ancient yogis intact, this powerful energy activating meditation nurtures the body and mind and connects you to your spiritual center.

Paving the road for transformation
By practicing Mahayog meditation, you are able to bridge the gap between your “ideal” self and your “current” self. To experience the “ideals” of peace and happiness and to translate desired characteristics into behaviour can seem difficult and even far-fetched. This is because, we often do not have the capacity to go beyond the mind. Our ‘monkey’ mind currently controls us, so we are it’s mercy. Our lives are shaped by whatever desires, emotions, conduct, and outlook it wants. To control the mind, we need a powerful tool, as independently it is extremely difficult. With any tool, where we are using our own efforts (body and mind), there is a lot of push needed and also room for error. Take for example, working out. This physical exercise requires manual and strenuous effort (e.g., to create a work-out plan, get yourself to the gym, work-out with intention, control the mind on a lazy day or to push yourself to the next level). Now physical wellness is well imbedded in our societies, and if you have good discipline and commitment there are many benefits you can enjoy from continued practice. With mental wellness – achieved by slowing and pausing our overactive mind – it is much harder, given that we have almost never trained the mind. It is also why trying to use your personal efforts to control the mind, even with the help of different tactics, be it mindful techniques or other methods, may not cause the transformation you are looking for.
What we need is a strong dose of conscious energy that will automatically re-charge us. To release our toxins (toxic thoughts, physical and mental ailments), purify our body, mind and spirit, and allow us to reach new meditative and spiritual heights. We have conscious energy inside us (Kundalini) but it’s a deep deep sleep, so to recharge it – to wake it up – we can receive a “strong dose of conscious energy” from initiation by a Siddha Guru (Jagatguru Mahayogi Siddhababa). All we do is sit and observe the acts of awakened energy.
There is divine power within you! Explore it and you’ll find long-term joy!
